#2228 - Tang Monk is good at speaking
Just as Guanyin was contemplating how to further instigate conflict, the three princes had already proactively begun to ingratiate themselves with Tang Sanzang and his companions.
When the three princes heard that Tang Sanzang and his group wanted to exchange their travel permit, they immediately said to Tang Sanzang and the others:
"This matter is simple; we are willing to lead the esteemed monks."
"This matter is simple! Esteemed monks, please follow us."
"Our royal father, upon learning of the arrival of eminent monks from the Great Tang, will surely extend a warm welcome."
The three princes proactively led the way, with the eldest prince even taking the initiative to lead Tang Sanzang's horse, appearing extremely attentive.
Tang Sanzang and his companions followed the three princes towards the royal palace.
Although the three princes were so attentive to Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong, Tang Sanzang and his companions still felt a strong aversion to these three princes.
They were well aware of the actions of these three princes; they hadn't taken direct action only because of Chu Hao's arrangement; they didn't want to act impulsively.
However, in their hearts, they were determined to eliminate these three princes, the scourges of Yuhua City.
Soon, Tang Sanzang and his group arrived at the palace gate, and under the guidance of the three princes, they directly entered the royal palace.
At this moment, the king of Yuhua City was waiting for Tang Sanzang and his group to arrive, preparing to act according to Guanyin's plan.
"As long as I act according to the arrangement of Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva will surely reward me handsomely."
The king was secretly delighted; he was just the king of a small place like Yuhua City, and his power was limited to this small area.
If he could gain the appreciation and promotion of the Western Paradise, he might be able to expand his territory, and even be granted elixirs for longevity and extended life.
Just as the king was daydreaming, the three princes walked in from outside.
"Reporting to Father, eminent monks from the Great Tang have arrived in our Yuhua City."
"We have already brought them to the royal palace; please summon them, Father."
"These eminent monks from the Great Tang possess great magical power; we must treat them with enthusiasm and not offend them."
The three princes reported to the king in this way, causing the king to be taken aback.
According to Guanyin's plan, Tang Sanzang and his group should have had a conflict with the three princes, and their arrival at the palace should have been to demand an explanation.
But looking at the appearance of the three princes, it seemed that there was no conflict between the two sides; the three princes even seemed to admire Tang Sanzang and his group very much.
"How could this be? Did Guanyin Bodhisattva make a mistake?"
The king didn't know what to do in the face of such a scene.
"Since there is no conflict, let's still follow the Bodhisattva's arrangement and treat Tang Sanzang and his group well."
The king was helpless; he could only do so.
"Then please invite the eminent monks from the Great Tang in."
A moment later, Tang Sanzang and his companions entered and arrived before the king.
"This humble monk is a monk from the Eastern Land, the Great Tang, who is going to the Western Paradise to seek scriptures; I ask that Your Majesty the King exchange our travel permit for us."
Tang Sanzang said to the king after entering.
"Eminent monks from the Great Tang are too polite; these are all small matters; esteemed monks need not rush.
This is the first time that Yuhua City has had eminent monks from the Great Tang visit; for Yuhua City, this is a grand occasion.
Please esteemed monks stay for a few more days, so that this humble king can fulfill his duty as a host; I have already ordered people to prepare a banquet to welcome and cleanse the dust for the esteemed monks; please esteemed monks be sure to honor us with your presence."
Tang Sanzang and his companions did not refuse such warm hospitality from the king after traveling for several days, exposed to the wind and eating and sleeping in the open; there was no reason to refuse being able to eat and drink well in this Yuhua City.
Soon, a banquet was set up in the back garden of the palace; the king, along with his ministers and the three princes, ate and drank with Tang Sanzang and his group.
"Eminent monks from the Great Tang have worked hard all the way; having come to my Yuhua City, this humble king should offer you a cup."
The king of Yuhua City was also very attentive to Tang Sanzang and his group, frequently offering toasts.
The king's performance immediately made Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong aware of the abnormality, because it was too deliberate.
Although Yuhua City was small, it was still a kingdom, and through the arrogance and viciousness of the three princes, it could be seen that the king of Yuhua City was by no means a kind person.
Therefore, his being so enthusiastic and polite must have a reason; this must have been arranged by the Western Paradise.
"Amitabha, although the Eastern Land, the Great Tang, and the Western Paradise are separated by thousands of miles, the road is difficult and dangerous, and there are many demons causing trouble.,
However, in order to promote Buddhism and let the land of Jambudvipa also bathe in the grace of Buddhism, it is only natural that we work hard."
Tang Sanzang saw the clues and immediately turned on his acting mode, saying to the king.
"Oh dear, esteemed monks are indeed esteemed monks; such awareness is truly admirable to this humble king."
The king of Yuhua City, as a minion and lackey of the Western Paradise, was naturally devout in Buddhism and loyal to the Dharma.
Hearing Tang Sanzang actually say this, comparing Buddhism to a world-saving artifact and a rejuvenating remedy, he naturally agreed from the bottom of his heart.
"It seems that the esteemed monk has deeply studied the Dharma and understands profound things; please do not hesitate to teach this humble king, so that this humble king can also improve his understanding of the Dharma."
The king was speaking his mind, and there was also a sense of respect in his eyes towards Tang Sanzang.
"The Dharma lies in cultivation; cultivating one character is understanding, and practicing one character is comprehension; this humble monk has comprehended a lot along the way to the West.
Starting from when this humble monk departed from the Great Tang, every step has been filled with comprehension; everything encountered has Buddhist principles within it."
Tang Sanzang began to talk endlessly; these narratives, although mostly different from the facts, were enough to fool the king.
Moreover, Tang Sanzang spoke in a very profound and mysterious manner, making the king seem to understand, yet also not understand, as if he were in a cloud of dreams, dizzy and feeling a bit tipsy.
In addition, Tang Sanzang's acting skills, which had already been honed, made the king and many of the ministers feel as if they were listening to a wonderful storytelling performance.
When they heard something thrilling, their hearts trembled, and when they heard something refreshing, they couldn't help but laugh heartily.
Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, on the other hand, were only eating and drinking, with a bit of secret laughter in their hearts.
"Master is really eloquent; I almost believed it."
"It would be best if we could fool them all into limping!"
"It's a pity that Master alone is enough; there's no place for us to use our skills."
Apart from Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, who were not fooled by Tang Sanzang's wonderful words, the three princes were also not fooled.
However, the three princes were not fooled because they simply did not understand what Tang Sanzang was saying, and they had no interest in listening to Tang Sanzang.
The attention of these three people was all on Sun Wukong, and a strange look appeared in their eyes.
The reason why the three princes respected and were polite to Tang Sanzang and his group was because the three of them saw Sun Wukong display the magical power of immobilization, and the three of them had other thoughts.
