#1728 - Maitreya Buddha: I’m running away again!
#1728 - Maitreya Buddha: I’m running away again!
Faced with Chu Hao's renewed demands, Guanyin naturally had no authority to decide and could only wait to take him back to Mount Ling.
Looking at Tang Sanzang and his disciples, she said with a profound and enigmatic expression, "Tang Sanzang, this tribulation is something you must experience. Fortunately, our Buddha Tathagata is compassionate and has specially ordered us to rescue you."
Tang Sanzang thought, what does this have to do with your Western Paradise?
However, he replied on the surface, "Thank you, Great Master Guanyin, for your kindness. With the Prison God Chu Hao present, we were able to preserve our lives. We must also thank the Prison God for his great kindness."
As he spoke, the other three also understood and bowed to Chu Hao.
This scene almost made Guanyin roll her eyes.
Am I saying this to make you thank Chu Hao? Shouldn't you be thanking the West?
What kind of understanding is this?
"It's nothing, it's nothing," Chu Hao accepted the thanks from the master and disciples with peace of mind.
"Ahem, actually, this is also because we went through untold hardships to achieve this scene," Guanyin felt she could still salvage the situation.
As a result, Tang Sanzang and his disciples were too lazy to pay attention to her, only thanking Chu Hao repeatedly.
Especially Zhu Bajie, who kept calling him 'Boss' repeatedly, giving Guanyin a headache.
"Since the tribulation has been resolved, you may continue on your journey," Guanyin had no choice but to let Tang Sanzang and his disciples leave first.
"Boss, aren't you coming with us?" Zhu Bajie asked.
"I have other matters to attend to. You go first," Chu Hao said with a smile.
He still hadn't received the five hundred thousand merits of divine water.
And so, Tang Sanzang and his disciples left this place, and then Chu Hao followed Guanyin back to Mount Ling in the Western Paradise.
The Tathagata sensed their arrival as soon as they reached Mount Ling, but he was suspicious when he didn't see the Eighteen Arhats and other Buddhas.
When the three of them entered, he said, "Chu Hao, you have broken your word."
"Don't slander me. Ask Guanyin. I did rescue Tang Sanzang and his disciples," Chu Hao immediately retorted.
The Tathagata looked at Guanyin, who showed a troubled expression but still nodded, "Reporting to the Buddha, Prison God Chu Hao has indeed fulfilled his promise."
"Then where are the Eighteen Arhats and the other Buddhas?" the Tathagata asked.
"This..." Guanyin didn't know how to answer.
Chu Hao said from the side, "Tathagata, you need to understand clearly. I never said I would save them from beginning to end."
As soon as these words came out, all the Buddhas present were in an uproar, accusing Chu Hao of not being virtuous.
The Tathagata was also extremely angry, and he asked, "Chu Hao, what do you mean by this?"
"The literal meaning," Chu Hao said seriously.
This made things difficult for the Tathagata.
Recalling Chu Hao's previous words, this guy really didn't seem to have said that he would save the others, only that he would save Tang Sanzang and his disciples.
He didn't expect that he would fall into this guy's trap.
At this moment, the Tathagata also understood the other party's intention, which was definitely to ask for a hefty price again.
So he coldly asked, "How much do you want this time?"
"Buddha, this Chu Hao is too much. Don't give it to him. We can't encourage his arrogance," a Buddha said.
"Don't give it? Then I'll leave?" Chu Hao turned to leave.
"Wait a moment," the Tathagata called out to him.
Although Tang Sanzang was fine, the Buddhist disciples who were trapped were all the backbone of Mount Ling. If they were all locked up, then the strength of his Mount Ling would be greatly reduced, which would be a greater loss than five hundred thousand merits of divine water.
After thinking about it, he gritted his teeth and agreed to Chu Hao's request, "Alright, here is five hundred thousand merits of divine water."
After speaking, he sent the merits of divine water to Chu Hao.
Chu Hao happily accepted it and said to the Tathagata, "How about it? Send some more people to follow me?"
The Tathagata didn't hide it and directly ordered, "Guanyin, you accompany Chu Hao for a trip."
After all, he was still afraid that Chu Hao would run away.
And so, Guanyin and Chu Hao arrived at the location of the Lesser Thunderclap Monastery.
However, as soon as they arrived, Guanyin was dumbfounded.
Looking at the empty space, she said in surprise, "Where is the Lesser Thunderclap Monastery? Was some kind of illusion cast on it?"
Chu Hao, who had guessed all of this, shook his head and said, "It's not an illusion. It's gone."
"Gone? How did it disappear?" Guanyin didn't react for a moment.
"Disappeared means disappeared. Now that he has released Tang Sanzang, he must be afraid of the Tathagata taking action, so he ran away directly," Chu Hao said speechlessly.
"Ah? How is that possible? How could Maitreya Buddha do this?" Guanyin still couldn't explain it.
Chu Hao said, "Since he ran away, then I'll leave too. I'm going back to the Heavenly Court to sleep."
"No," Guanyin immediately called out to him.
"What's wrong? Everyone else has run away. You can't blame me for this," Chu Hao spread his hands.
"Didn't you receive five hundred thousand merits of divine water? You have to find him," Guanyin said.
Chu Hao walked over, his star-like eyes staring at Guanyin's face, and said seriously, "Little Guanyin, everyone else has run away. Where am I going to find him? How about this, you find him and then notify me?"
"But..." Guanyin wanted to say something.
Chu Hao left directly, not forgetting to remind her before leaving, "Go back and ask the Tathagata."
Watching the other party leave, Guanyin had no choice but to return to Mount Ling.
But when the Tathagata saw Guanyin return alone, he was shocked, "What? Chu Hao ran away?"
Guanyin pursed her lips and shook her head, "Buddha, it's not Chu Hao who ran away, it's Maitreya Buddha who ran away."
"Maitreya Buddha ran away?" The Tathagata was even more shocked.
Guanyin nodded and then explained everything in detail.
After listening, the Tathagata's face darkened, and his right hand fluctuated. He closed his eyes and deduced, beginning to search for Maitreya Buddha's whereabouts.
In his deduction, he happened to see Maitreya Buddha leading a kind of demon from the Lesser Thunderclap Monastery, as well as the Buddhas, fleeing the West and entering the Avici Hell.
"Damn it, this Maitreya Buddha actually defected to the Demon Clan," the Tathagata said angrily.
Then he looked at Guanyin, "Where is Chu Hao?"
"Chu Hao said he would wait for us to find Maitreya Buddha before taking action," Guanyin said.
"Then you let Chu Hao go to Avici Hell and bring Maitreya Buddha back," the Tathagata ordered.
"This... Avici Hell is the Demon Clan's territory. I guess Chu Hao won't be able to do anything," Guanyin said with a stiff face.
Indeed, even if the Tathagata himself went to that kind of place, he couldn't say that he could retreat unscathed.
If you let Chu Hao go there, others probably wouldn't even pay attention to him.
The Tathagata also knew that this wouldn't work, but wasn't his five hundred thousand merits of divine water wasted?
Thinking of this, he increasingly felt that this Maitreya Buddha was in collusion with Chu Hao.
Otherwise, why could he so easily rescue Tang Sanzang, and after he rescued him, the entire Lesser Thunderclap Monastery ran away?
But on second thought, the relationship between the two parties was completely irreconcilable, so it shouldn't be possible.
Maitreya Buddha's sudden escape exceeded the Tathagata's control, and he didn't know what to do.
